THE ILLUSION OF PEACE

As expressed in the last essay, the Fatah 6th General Assembly held in Bethlehem in August 4, 2009 should alert Israel and, especially the international community that their real inclination continues to be towards violence and maintaining their status quo as a “national liberation movement,” rather than a government body with proper institutions and infrastructure for a future Palestinian State. This behavior is indeed to be expected by virtue of President Obama’s latest sweet-talk with the Muslim world in his historic Cairo speech and his State Department’s unrelenting calls for freezing settlement activities in Israel with no quid pro quo from the Palestinian faction.
Barack Hussein Obama’s ambitious negotiations in Middle East affairs are wrongly unjustified and center around the biggest lie since the Israel’s defensive war in 1967 against Arab aggression bent on Israel’s disappearance. What I am speaking about is the word “occupation,” and the invention of a before unknown Palestinian entity created by the defunct Oslo accords. Moreover, to take matters even further, as stated by the Jerusalem Post’s Sarah Honig, even the entire Jordanian state, nationhood and even identity are counterfeit. You may wonder, are the U.S. and Europe’s leaders intentionally disregarding historical facts, or are they so afraid of Islamic terrorism on their own shores that they are willing to sacrifice the microscopic Jewish state? This frightening situation is not about the territories that Israel unexpectedly gained in the 1967 war, that is Judea, Samaria, Gaza and East Jerusalem, but about the Arab’s ambition of obliterating the Jewish state in their midst. Although the inadmissibility of acquiring territory by war is codified in the U.N. charter, there was no authoritative sovereign nation to whom these territories could have been returned. Thus, there is no such thing as “occupied” territories and even the idea of Palestinian self-determination was not even included in the U.N. Security Council 242. And of course, let’s not forget the 1917 Balfour Declaration which favored the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people.
The demonization of Israel continues to take its toll throughout the world based on such lies as “occupation” and “Palestinians” which have been so constantly repeated and publicized ad nauseam since the reign of the late Fatah leader Yassir Arafat, that the world at large accept them as being true without even bothering looking into legitimate historical accounts. The Arabs’ unfair fabrications have led to a global chain of undeserved commentaries and activities each time Israel has to defend its citizens against terror attacks. For instance, most recently, criticisms still abound after Israel’s defensive war against the terrorist Hamas entity who previously showered Southern Israel with over 10,000 rockets over several years on innocent civilians; and human rights organizations’ reports illustrate clear evidence of disproportionate focus on Israel and reflect a hostile political agenda; and most importantly, let’s not ignore President Barack Hussein Obama’s unrelenting pressure on Israel to commit a suicidal path, thus relieving the Palestinian authority from promulgating peace and compromise as illustrated in their recent hideous General Assembly conference.
Unfortunately, the majority of people in the world are oblivious of historical truth, and cognizant of this sad fact, Israel has been the victim of the media war promulgated by the Palestinians, masters of virulent propagandas no one can match. The latest Fatah’s vociferous attacks against any type of peace with Israel should warn all of those concerned with justice and rectitude that Israel has absolutely no partner with whom to “live in peace and security,” and more importantly, a lasting peace will never have a chance to stand based on fabrications and lies. The leaders of the free world have no legal and/or justified right to demand the dismemberment of the Jewish State, and should instead wise up and focus their minds and eyes on the rampant Islamization of their own country and the steadfast nuclearization of a dangerously fanatic and theocratic government such as Iran.
THE UNABATED PRESSURE ON ISRAEL

The pressure on Israel continues unabated and even worse than it has been in the past decade. Recently, there was an announcement by the Arab League that if Israel complies with the suicidal Saudi plan that all 57 Muslim states will recognize Israel; mind you, not Israel as a Jewish state, of course. We know what peace means with Muslim countries. Even though Israel has a peace treaty with Egypt, this was a much easier conflict to resolve than with a bogus Palestinian terrorist entity which did not exist prior to 1964, courtesy of the arch-terrorist Arafat. Peace with Israel and Egypt concerned territory, the Sinai, which actually belonged to Egypt prior to the 1967 war. This land actually is not physically within Israel proper. Even so, Middle East expert, Daniel Pipes, regards the Israel-Egypt peace treaty a failure. In fact, Pipes reports that 92% of respondents in a poll of one thousand Egyptians over 18 years of age called Israel an enemy state.
With the phony Palestinian authority, Israel is, without mincing words, threatened by major world players to dismantle Judea, Samaria, Gaza and East Jerusalem from its sovereign state and to make this territory Jew-free, which means casting out hundreds of thousands of Jews from their homes and businesses to become refugees in their own land. Unfortunately, political and intellectual leaders of the Free world lack wisdom and integrity and they only care for their own interests such as uninterrupted sources of cheap oil and political appeasement of Arab countries which number over a billion compared to the measly 13 million Jews. Making any type of deal with such entities such as Hamas and Fatah is a no-win situation. I beg someone to understand what the mentality of these people we are supposed to make peace with is all about. First, in spite of the billions of dollars given to them for the past decade, there hasn’t been any constructive economic or social development, and no vision to create proper institutions and infrastructures for a viable state. Why? Because the prime objective of these Islamist entities is inherent in sharia and jihadist Koranic laws and the defeat of infidels, prominently Jews and Christians.
Rather than being coerced into a two-state final solution, the Netanyahu administration is bringing a proposal to be presented to Barak Hussein Obama on May 18th, 2009 which is a stratagem to avert the suicidal final solution demanded by all leaders. However, given the track record of the large amount of funds given to the PLO in previous occasions, this option, if approved by Obama, will undoubtedly fail on its face. As in the past, any monies meant to build proper infrastructures for a viable Palestinian state will end up instead being used to build cannons and weapons of destruction. The indoctrination of children in these societies to become suicide bombers and to kill Jews for the past decades will not abate with either monies or another Islamic state in Israel. In fact, a Palestinian state within Israel will facilitate and expedite the Jihadist’s goal of controlling all of Israel’s borders for total annihilation.
Mr. Netanyahu does not have to bring alternatives such as building economies to the terrorist entities to Obama. He should remember that he represents not only Jews living in Israel but also those in the Diaspora. He should stand firm to abolish any hint of creating a terrorist state within Israel, explain and educate the U.S. Leaders of the danger inherent in committing such activity, and either continue the alliance with the U.S. on Israel’s terms or leave to govern the Jewish state on its own, which is an ideal alternative, given the circumstances.
THE FIFTH COLUMN

Some 220,000 Arabs live in East Jerusalem, and they all carry Israeli I.D. cards which allow them freedom to travel throughout the country. In March, 2009 an Arab man from E. Jerusalem went on a rampage with a massive construction vehicle, trying to kill as many civilians as possible. Fortunately, this murderer was stopped by bystanders and shot dead by police. This is an isolated incident, but the third time in months that an E. Jerusalemite has turned a construction vehicle into a lethal weapon with the aim of killing innocent civilians. The most devastating rampage was in early July, 2008 when three people were killed and dozens were injured through the same strategy.
Another disturbing event occurred in 2002 when three Arab employees at a popular café in downtown Jerusalem confessed to plotting to lace pitchers of Coca Cola with a tasteless, odorless poisonous substance that was to have been provided by a Hebrew University of Jerusalem laundromat employee. This substance apparently causes death 15 hours after being ingested, with the victim appearing to suffer a heart attack.
Going forward, in early 2008, an Arab who worked for three years at a restaurant together with a fellow employee who was his accomplice, planned to poison the restaurant’s clientele with a white, odorless and tasteless poison with a slow-release component which would have been undetectable when slipped into the food, in order to maximize the number of diners killed. Cognizant of the freedom and work permits delivered to Arabs living in Israel, terror organizations have tried several times to recruit Arab cooks and waiters to poison food at Israeli restaurants.
Most disturbingly, Israeli Arabs and the Arab Knesset members identify with Iran, Hezbollah and other groups that reject Israel’s right to exist as a Jewish state. In addition, a Haifa University poll indicates that 63% of the Jewish population is rightly afraid of entering Arab communities in Israel. Moreover, it was reported that 28% of Israeli Arabs do not believe the Holocaust happened, and that among high school and college graduates the figure was even 33%.
Thus, Israel’s enemies are not only outside its borders, but within. Obviously, this Fifth column is oiling its engine to create havoc in Israel and terrorist countries and entities are only too happy to support them for their ultimate goal of destroying the Jewish state.
