SOLANA’S LAST GIFT
July 15, 2009 by yipbop · Leave a Comment
It seems that the top diplomat of the European Union, Javier Solana, insists on leaving an offensive vestige on his obsessive courtship toward a two-state solution in the Land of Israel before his retirement. As you are probably aware, Solana has made headlines this week when he gave a speech in London in which he said that if an agreement between Israel and the Arab Palestinians did not come to fruition, that the United Nations should unilaterally enforce the two-state “solution” to the conflict including borders, refugees, and Jerusalem.
It takes a lot of chutzpah to make such an absurd statement to the world about a sovereign country such as Israel. I should retort to Solana who is a Spaniard, that people who live in glass houses should not throw stones. Meaning, Israel could also ask that the UN Security Council recognize the independent state of Basque in Spain, since for many years ETA (similarly to the PLO) has used terrorism and violence in a political war against the government in Madrid. But it is not proper to meddle in other countries’ internal affairs and Solana should know better.
It is obvious to this writer that Solana’s behavior throughout the years as Chief of the European Union and the hypocrisy that he has shown and continues to show vis-à-vis Israel is not suspected of being pro-Israeli. As a diplomat of this stature, Solana made the most stupid and credulous statements that anyone could imagine; for example, he insisted in an interview with the then Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni, that it was “not impossible” for Hamas to change and “recognize the existence of Israel,” and that Hamas wants to “liberate the Palestinians, not to destroy Israel.” According to his words, he appears to be oblivious to the culture of terror that represents Hamas. Hamas refers to any town in Israel as an “illegal settlement.” Its declared aim is to destroy Israel. Hamas has proudly endorsed, initiated and sent numerous suicide murderers into Israeli buses, supermarkets, shopping malls, weddings and other crowded places. The Hamas media, and especially its independent TV station, carry daily children programs (including programs for kindergarten age) depicting the Jews (and not only the Israelis) as pigs, dogs, scum of the earth and creatures that must be killed. I could go on and on, but it seems that all of these “deeds” are inconsequential to Solana.
Solana also carelessly declared that the construction of the security fence was a bad idea for Israel when this so-called “wall” has prevented over 95% of suicide bombers since its erection in 2002. This should teach you that Solana does not have any notion of what Jihad or Hamas stands for. In fact, he seems to also ignore Hamas’ charter stating that “so-called peace solutions and international conferences to resolve the Palestinian problem are all contrary to the beliefs of the Islamic Resistance Movement.
I would like to say to Solana without any hesitation “Solana, your contributions to Israel are contrary to what you would do in your own country; your diplomatic hypocrisy vis-à-vis Israel is so apparent that your departure from the scene is indeed a cause for celebration.” Solana’s last statement before his retirement about the UN enforcing a two-state solution down the throat of Israel, in view of his past suspicious Israeli political agenda, has already been dismissed as dangerous by those in Government whose heads are in the right place for the time being.
THE UNRELENTING U.N. BIAS AGAINST ISRAEL
There is no end to Israel bashing which continues unabated, especially by the U.N., an organization that is supposed to show to the world that bias against any specific country is not allowed. This time, the U.N., which is unfairly represented by a large number of Israel’s enemies, produced a very harsh report accusing the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) of intentionally firing at the UNRWA facilities and at civilians hiding in them during the Cast Lead conflict with Hamas. This U.N. report, to be expected, refrained from even mentioning the terrorist entity, Hamas. What do you expect from the U.N. and its Secretary General, Ban Ki-Moon, when it just gave the podium to the most popular Jew hater, Ahmadinejad from Iran at Durban II?
As you may have read in my previous reports, Hamas is an evil incarnate organization that repudiates Jews and does not recognize Israel. Their modus operandi in conflicts, similarly to Hezbollah, is to use its Palestinian civilian population, including women and children, as human shields and to hide in civilian infrastructures such as hospitals, schools, mosques and U.N. facilities such as UNRWA. Hamas knows very well that the IDF is a moral army and that Israel cares for civilian casualties. Thus, this strategy is a win-win situation for these terrorists such as Hamas and Hezbollah – if Israel’s intelligence warns the IDF of terrorist targets in civilian areas, the army would most probably resort to abandon the firing allowing the terrorists some relief; if, however, the IDF fires on these areas, they are accused by the world of creating a crime against humanity, which also benefits the terrorists.
Moreover, this U.N. report which is blatantly biased, failed to report the reason why Israel opted to defend itself against intensive rockets attacks to Israel’s civilian populations in the South. The U.N. probably assumes that in the case of Israel, unlike any other country in the world, it should disregard this unrelenting “home-made rockets” and absorb them as sitting ducks in a shooting gallery. This writer wonders how many countries in the world would have waited over the five years that Israel abstained itself to defend its population from uncontrolled rocket attacks? Yet, in spite of this abnormal situation, the U.N. never accused Hamas or made any relevant noise to stop this incessant barrage of rockets to Israeli civilian populations. Instead, the U.N. resorted to not even mention this terrorist attack against Israel in this recent report, in addition to abstaining to accuse this terrorist entity of using its population as human shields.
This writer hopes that there are many people reading http://newsbeyondnews/ reports since they are meant to open your eyes for you to realize that it is not just Israel which is confronting terrorist enemies, such as Hamas, Hezbollah, Iran, Syria, etc.; it is also obvious that the U.N. whose charter is to achieve world peace, for unknown reasons, is opting to ignore terrorist entities such as Hamas and does not formally recognize any country as a terrorist state. If these forces of evil are not defeated swiftly very soon, in the not too distant future, this threat will intensify and the free world will wake up one morning with devastating news of a major magnitude that will change their lives that you invested and fought so much upon from democratic values and standards, justice and human rights into an Islamist tsunami that will enslave the world as you know it.
U.S. SETTING THE PATH TO DISASTER
As days go by, anti-Jewish and anti-Israel intimidation continues to surface in all major newspapers. In November, 2008, Al-Hayat, a London-based Arab newspaper, reported that Obama advisers met secretly with the terrorist entity, Hamas, and that this meeting took place prior to Obama’s inauguration as President of the U.S. This assertion was flatly denied by Obama’s advisors. However, the truth is in the pudding as evidenced by freshly printed news that Barak Hussein Obama has requested that Congress change the law on Hamas so that the U.S. can continue aid to the Palestinians even if Hamas, recognized as a terrorist entity in 2006, is involved in this deal. We are talking here of over 800 million dollars in “aid.”
Hamas is indeed a violent terrorist organization whose covenantal aspiration is to kill as many Jews as they can for the ultimate destruction of the State of Israel. They not only bluntly spell out this genocidal objective by demonizing the Jews through their media and latest play, brainwashing the population from an early age, but Hamas is the devil incarnate having committed the most atrocious and bloody crimes against innocent civilians including women and children. That Obama in this new administration is willing to speak and recognize this fanatical Nazi-like entity as a “peace” partner with Israel is beyond anyone’s rational mind. It is indeed a dangerous situation that Barak Hussein Obama, labeled the most powerful man on earth, is concocting peace between Israel and terrorist entities. Moreover, to compound the problem, his Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, threatened this week that Israel risks losing “moderate” Arab support against Iran unless peace is formalized with the Palestinians.
Let’s remember what type of policy President Hussein Obama is willing to set down with Iran. This President intends to “speak” with the Ayatollahs believing that he can succeed in stopping Iran’s nuclear capabilities. He believes that diplomacy can succeed with a religiously fanatical Shiite mentality bent on overtaking the Free World and whose President, Ahmadinejad, has just recently demonized Israel at the Durban II conference. This moronic attitude on the part of Obama will only prolong the impasse and allow Iran enough time to finalize their genocidal goals. Diplomacy with mentalities such as the Iranian Mullahs and Hamas will flatly fail such as it did with the diplomatic overture undertaken between Chamberlain and the equally fanatical Hitler.
At least Israel has a ray of light by the appointment of the new Foreign Minister, A. Lieberman. Unlike the failed and hypocritical former Minister Tzipi Livni, and Prime Minister Olmert, Lieberman does not mince words and openly says it like it is. He flatly spelled out the inadequacy and absurdity of making peace with the PLO at this stage when it refuses to recognize Israel as a Jewish state and the danger of dealing with Syria, a dictatorship supporting terrorists. He also rejects abject slogans such as settlement and occupation, land-for-peace, two-state solution. Because of Lieberman’s honesty and forthrightness, he is not well liked by the international community who would rather deal with hypocrites willing to make Israel the scapegoat for the world.
The current derogatory behavior by Obama vis-à-vis Israel is indeed worrisome. One wonders whether in the end, Israel would be better off fighting for its survival alone. After all, who needs “allies” like these? Israel desires to live in peace, but not at the expense of its security and well-being.
THE THEATER OF THE ABSURD

I wonder, and I know all of you do, what was the purpose of this 22-day war between Israel and Gaza called “Operation Cast Lead”?? Personally, I believe that it was a complete fiasco and did not meet any clearly defined criteria and objectives! This war not only looks like a ridiculous and worthless enterprise, but it threatens to backfire with a vengeance. Indeed, the rocket attacks which apparently were the original reason for the entire venture continue to fly to Southern of Israel, Hamas is still in power and retains the means and the will to continue its attacks against Israeli civilians, Gilad Shalit is still in Hamas’ hands, Hamas continues to smuggle weapons, most of the world’s emotional response is to side with the terrorists, Israel is being accused of war crimes and now the U.S., EU and Arab countries are willing to pour billions of dollars for the so-called reconstruction of Gaza. In truth to be told, the IDF and its Kadima leaders have utterly failed to restore its previous glory and have instead left a bitter taste.
A couple of months post war, the theater of the absurd is reflected in the decisions coming from the US, EU and Arab countries to donate 5.5 billions of dollars to the terrorists’ coffers including Iran, and you can bet on it. When the world is going through the worst economic recession in decades and millions of people are unemployed and hurting, these wise leaders have no hesitation but to turn a blind eye to terrorism, and show their smiling faces to Gazans, those swearing on their so-called “resistance” until the utter destruction of Israel.
With its $900 million pledge, we are witnessing a preview of the Obama administration’s true colors and handling of the Israel/Palestinian conflict. While the US is presumably engaged in a “war on terror” they are willing to give money to a shameless terrorist organization while sending a stark message to Israel that no matter how many rockets continue to hit Israel’s citizens, Israel cannot retaliate and cause a waste of their hard earned tax monies. In addition, they are also saying that Hamas, a proxy of Iran and the Gazan citizens who elected them, are the victims of Israel’s onslaught and deserving of the most ludicrous international aid cause in the world. Meanwhile, Hamas, Hezbollah and Iran are having a good laugh going to the bank over the West’s overt credulity.
Over decades, the strategy of reinforcing the Palestinian authority has not weakened Hamas. If the Obama administration and its Secretary of State do not recognize that there is no Palestinian partner to be had for a two-state solution, perhaps it would be wise to recognize that it’s time to stop supporting failure and ask Congress to turn off the faucet that dispatch more of the US tax dollars down a Palestinian siphon. Quoting Einstein: “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.”
