THE U.N.’s SCAPEGOAT SYNDROME

UN 225x300 THE U.N.’s SCAPEGOAT SYNDROMEFresh news substantiates my earlier essay on the U.N.’s flagrant and obsessive bias towards the State of Israel. This time, to continue the trend of relentless Israel bashing, a report was written by Navi Pillay, the new High Commissioner for Human Rights and substitute of Marie Robinson, equally, a vicious anti-Israel promoter. As you may know, the U.N. Human Rights Council is controlled by Arabs and their allies and is apparently given free reign by the U.N. Chief, Ban Ki-moon to perpetuate vilification and isolation of Israel, a sovereign and democratic country. Furthermore, Israel is the only country in the world that is not eligible to sit on the Security Council. This situation violates the principle of the “sovereign equality of all member states” of the U.N. under Article 2 of the U.N. Charter. This new Human Rights’ report accuses Israel of “grave violations of human rights in the Occupied Palestinian territories, particularly due to the recent Israeli military attacks against the occupied Gaza Strip.”

I beg to analyze this so-called utterly institutionalized bias and deliberate “Human Rights” claim. When you realize that Syria can be a member of the Security Council and when the U.N. Commissioner can be appointed by Lybia’s Ghaddafi, you may question whether this U.N. body is indeed exercising honorable and impartial edicts. The word “occupation” is mentioned twice in just two liners. The first one accuses Israel of human rights abuses in the “Occupied” Palestinian territories. The U.N. deliberately ignores the fact that Judea and Samaria, now substituted by the term “West Bank” was under the cruel and unauthorized control of Jordan, not a sovereign Palestinian entity. In addition, this organization is actually using double standards by conferring legitimacy to despots and terrorists and deliberately ignoring Israel’s inherent right to security and self-defense.  Moreover, the word “occupation” is illicit since the U.N.’s Security Council 242 was never promised to a State of Palestine, since it never existed. And, how can the Arab leadership now claim that Israel should conform to UN 194, 242, and/or 338, when the Arabs then rejected these resolutions and expressed their rejection in war and terrorism? The second mention of “occupation” by the U.N. Commissioner refers to the military attacks against the “occupied” Gaza Strip. The U.N. premeditatedly ignores the 2005 unilateral disengagement from Gaza, an area which has become an enclave of terrorism, Hamastan, whose goal is to annihilate the Jewish State.

To add salt to the wound, the U.N. High Commissioner, accuses Israel of harming unarmed civilians through the blockade of Gaza and of the illegality of the security barrier, inevitable deterrents that have successfully reduced the spate of terrorist attacks against innocent Israeli civilians by over 98%. This report unapologetically and blatantly violates Israel’s inherent rights to defend its citizens against terrorists who are plentiful and waiting to strike from both Fatah’ and Gaza’s terrorist infrastructures.

This writer, and I imagine that those who care for justice and unbiased resolutions among all nations, wonders whether the U.N. is an impartial peace-keeping institution whose legacy is designed to resolve conflicts, or is it a racist, prejudicial and politically opportunistic vehicle whose aim is to isolate and undermine Israel, a member state, just because the majority of its members belong to Arab and third world or ex-communist countries who use oil as a weapon and dictate the international arena?

We need to proclaim loud and clear that the U.N. Commission denies Israel due process and equality under the law. This flagrant and overt bias against Israel affects all citizens of the world since it is a violation of the quality principles guaranteed by the UN charter and cripples the functioning of the UN Commission on Human Rights. For this reason, the U.N. as a whole lacks credibility and integrity and warrants an urgent overhaul before claiming to profess “to reaffirm faith in fundamental human rights.”

DOES ANYONE REALLY CARE?

False handshakeSince the Oslo accords, the governments of Israel and the U.S. under different prime ministers and Presidents have unsuccessfully tried to reach peace with the bogus Palestinian entity. I mention the epithet “bogus” because, as I have related in previous essays, the English term “Palestinian” which is not an Arab name, was shrewdly invented for political purposes by the Arabs right after the birth of the State of Israel in 1948 and it became even more prominent and globalized after the arch-terrorist Arafat was brought from Tunis to the shores of Israel by a pathetic government headed by Peres, Barak and Yiitzhak Rabin in 1992 leading to a policy of land-for-peace, which remains in effect to this day.

Of some interest to those of you who may not know this, the so-called “Palestinians” are not natives of Israel, but Arabs who migrated from neighboring Arab countries in 1918.  The name “Palestina” is a Latin-Roman name based on the Hebrew Biblical name of the ancient “Philistines” — “Plishtim” in Hebrew. The Philistines are extinct since approximately 2,000 years ago, and have no ancestral or historical relationship to Arabs. During the British mandate, the local Arabs never referred to themselves as “Palestinians,” but “Arabs.” So there is no ethnical, cultural or language history that could be attributed to the present so-called “Palestinians.” In fact, before the birth of the State of Israel, Jews were referred to as Palestinians. If you would bother searching history and encyclopedias, you will not find an Arabic name for Palestinian. Thus, “Palestinian” people have never existed as an autonomous entity.

Yet, in spite of indisputable historical facts, the very successful propaganda concocted by the Arabs to turn a phony culture and nation of Palestinian Arabs into a dismal fact has been accepted by the world of nations oblivious of Arab hostility, and reluctantly swallowed through intense pressure by successive Israel governments.  The Arabs will never recognize Israel as a sovereign Jewish nation, nor will they agree to partition the land into two states and “live in peace and security,” as echoed by Western nations ad nauseam. The Arabs are actually engaged in a religious war against Israel and their only raison d’etre is the annihilation of the Jewish state to be replaced by their own 23rd Arab Islamic entity. Importantly, their ultimate ambition is to own not just the Land of Israel in its entirety (as illustrated in their own maps), but especially Jerusalem and the Temple Mount because they know that these holy sites symbolize religion, history, home and future of the Jewish people throughout the world.

As long as the Western world’s pressure on Israel continues to ignore the false Palestinian revisionist and false accounts and their interest lies in placating the Arab world rather than justice, historical accuracy and ethical truth, no parade of political advisors and emissaries to the Land of Israel will ever achieve peace in this troubled small corner of the world, and all wheeling and dealings will come to naught as it has in the past because the fate of Israel as a nation is to be eternal and a light to the nations as prophesied several times in the Jewish Scriptures.

ONCE A VASSAL, ALWAYS A VASSAL

Subserviency 300x199 ONCE A VASSAL, ALWAYS A VASSALThis writer believes that Jews continue to retain some degree of the submissive, complacent and obedient mentality inherited from their forefathers thousands of years ago while in slavery during the Pharaonic period, and not too long ago when they were expelled and massacred from country to country throughout their Diaspora culminating into the most horrendous mass killings under the Nazi regime.

Presently, although the Jews have managed to build an independent democratic nation, Israel, and a strong army and economy, they are still showing signs of submissiveness and subjugation to the rather strange and punitive demands from several U.S. administrations, especially that of Barak Hussein Obama.  This type of “idolization” vis-à-vis the most powerful nation on earth appears to emulate prior Jewish submissive behaviors which culminated in their own tragedy. When Barack Obama is taking a tough and demanding stance to have Israel refrain from building for natural growth, tear down the Jerusalem wall, stop building illegal settlements, especially in Jerusalem, the undivided capital of the State of Israel, you know that this behavior is intended to placate the Arab street at the expense of the once again “sacrificial lamb.” Ironically, it is not just the U.S. who is telling Israel how to govern, the French President, Sarkozy, echoed the U.S. by urging Israel to stop building Jewish settlements and even had the chutzpah to request that Netanyahu sack his foreign minister.

All Israeli governments have shown signs of submissiveness by taking enormous risks to obey the international community’s demands, starting with the dangerous peace processes of Oslo, Taba, the Camp David, Gaza, etc., etc., that gave the Palestinians autonomy without quid pro quo for Israel  except terrorism, incitement and Jihad which has claimed thousands of Jewish lives. Amazingly, the more Israel has ceded and extended its hand for peace, the more it has been globally demonized, delegitimized and scorned.

The Israeli leadership rather than taking courageous and justified steps like any other sovereign country would in the world to stop what has become an absurd situation that threatens the Jewish people with the loss of their indisputable rights to their one and only land, has instead been courting the U.S. and the international community by even offering on several occasions in a silver platter over 98% of land in Judea and Samaria with land swaps, including Judaism’s most venerated and holiest of sites, the Temple Mount by such previous Prime Ministers as Barack and Olmert. All of these peace overtures have miraculously been rejected by the PA because it did not include the return of the Palestinian refugees to Israel, a strategy to demographically destroy the Jewish state.

Jewish submissiveness to the modern Pharaoh, Obama, will only bring disaster and eventually the demise of the Jewish State. Jews seem to have a short memory when thinking that the U.S. looks after Israel’s interest. You may recall for instance the American inaction against the British government to repudiate the malevolent White Paper to restore the Jews of Europe and gain refuge in their homeland. Israel should be governed by a leadership that takes pride in its Jewish history, culture and God-mandated eternal heritage of the Land of Israel in its entirety. Bowing to the U.S. and the international community’s demands to partition the land with enemies bent on Israel’s destruction will create a dangerous and deadly situation not only for Israel but for Jews throughout the world.

U.S. SETTING THE PATH TO DISASTER

April 29, 2009 by yipbop · 1 Comment

statue of liberty 300x225 U.S. SETTING THE PATH TO DISASTERAs days go by, anti-Jewish and anti-Israel intimidation continues to surface in all major newspapers. In November, 2008, Al-Hayat, a London-based Arab newspaper, reported that Obama advisers met secretly with the terrorist entity, Hamas, and that this meeting took place prior to Obama’s inauguration as President of the U.S.  This assertion was flatly denied by Obama’s advisors. However, the truth is in the pudding as evidenced by freshly printed news that Barak Hussein Obama has requested that Congress change the law on Hamas so that the U.S. can continue aid to the Palestinians even if Hamas, recognized as a terrorist entity in 2006, is involved in this deal. We are talking here of over 800 million dollars in “aid.”

Hamas is indeed a violent terrorist organization whose covenantal aspiration is to kill as many Jews as they can for the ultimate destruction of the State of Israel. They not only bluntly spell out this genocidal objective by demonizing the Jews through their media and latest play, brainwashing the population from an early age, but Hamas is the devil incarnate having committed the most atrocious and bloody crimes against innocent civilians including women and children. That Obama in this new administration is willing to speak and recognize this fanatical Nazi-like entity as a “peace” partner with Israel is beyond anyone’s rational mind. It is indeed a dangerous situation that Barak Hussein Obama, labeled the most powerful man on earth, is concocting peace between Israel and terrorist entities. Moreover, to compound the problem, his Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, threatened this week that Israel risks losing “moderate” Arab support against Iran unless peace is formalized with the Palestinians.

Let’s remember what type of policy President Hussein Obama is willing to set down with Iran. This President intends to “speak” with the Ayatollahs believing that he can succeed in stopping Iran’s nuclear capabilities. He believes that diplomacy can succeed with a religiously fanatical Shiite mentality bent on overtaking the Free World and whose President, Ahmadinejad, has just recently demonized Israel at the Durban II conference.  This moronic attitude on the part of Obama will only prolong the impasse and allow Iran enough time to finalize their genocidal goals. Diplomacy with mentalities such as the Iranian Mullahs and Hamas will flatly fail such as it did with the diplomatic overture undertaken between Chamberlain and the equally fanatical Hitler.

At least Israel has a ray of light by the appointment of the new Foreign Minister, A. Lieberman. Unlike the failed and hypocritical former Minister Tzipi Livni, and Prime Minister Olmert, Lieberman does not mince words and openly says it like it is. He flatly spelled out the inadequacy and absurdity of making peace with the PLO at this stage when it refuses to recognize Israel as a Jewish state and the danger of dealing with Syria, a dictatorship supporting terrorists.  He also rejects abject slogans such as settlement and occupation, land-for-peace, two-state solution. Because of Lieberman’s honesty and forthrightness, he is not well liked by the international community who would rather deal with hypocrites willing to make Israel the scapegoat for the world.

The current derogatory behavior by Obama vis-à-vis Israel is indeed worrisome. One wonders whether in the end, Israel would be better off fighting for its survival alone. After all, who needs “allies” like these? Israel desires to live in peace, but not at the expense of its security and well-being.

HOW DO YOU FIGHT LIES?

April 16, 2009 by yipbop · Leave a Comment

pinocchio 199x300 HOW DO YOU FIGHT LIES?Ever since 1948, Israel has been forced to defend itself against implacable enemies, and the rest of the world rather than support this small Jewish state, is even questioning its existence. These insidious critical voices mostly originate from the European elites as well as from the American left who are instigating the elimination of the Jewish state of Israel and replacing it with a bi-national Palestinian-Jewish state in its place.

With all this negative brouhaha, one wonders what created this enormous rejection of Israel. It seems that those in charge of the political course and social stability in the world are ignoring the incontestable historic and cultural rights of the Jewish people to the Land of Israel, more so than in any other country in the world.  Most importantly, Israel is the only state that was created in the last century whose legitimacy was recognized by both the League of Nations and the United Nations. In fact, historically, early recognition was acknowledged by such world leaders as President Adams and Napoleon Bonaparte.

The most astonishing invention that has come about since Arafat was brought to Israel in 1964 from Tunis with the creation of the PLO, were the famous words “occupation” and “Palestinian people.” I challenge all of you to define the origins of Palestine and the basis for “occupation.” Arafat has claimed that there was an Arab Palestinian society in place prior to the birth of Israel, whose rights are even superior. Yet, if you bother to look at the historical records, when the Jewish presence settled the land, there was a large influx of Arabs from neighboring countries such as Egypt, Syria, Iraq and Jordan who were searching for economic opportunities brought about by the Jews.

What about the obsessive repeated word “occupation?” Has a sovereign state called “Palestine” ever existed? No. Was there a state of Palestine promised by the UN Security Council Resolution 242? No. How Jews were called pre-1948? Palestinians.  Was the term “occupation” ever mentioned prior to 1967? No.

It is obvious that Israel has an insurmountable battle in order to discredit the lies brought about not only by the Arab world, but especially by the anti-Semites, the media, the UN, the EU, and the Jewish left. These deliberate blunders to delegitimize the State of Israel are worse than actions and it would be very hard to uproot them than to plant them in the first place. So how do you fight lies?  By exposing the factual truth in a multifaceted fashion throughout all corners of the world, with all Jews, some 13 millions of them starting with the Government of Israel, being the participants.
